Deadly Expressway Crash in Uttar Pradesh Claims Four Lives After SUV Tyre Burst

A deadly accident on the Agra–Lucknow Expressway in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao district left four people dead after a Toyota Fortuner suffered a tyre burst and collided with another vehicle. Police and officials carried out rescue operations as injured victims were taken to hospital.

A tragic road accident on the Agra–Lucknow Expressway turned fatal on Wednesday when a luxury SUV lost control after a tyre burst, resulting in a violent collision that killed four people on the spot in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao district.

According to preliminary information shared by officials, the incident occurred when a Toyota Fortuner was travelling along the high-speed corridor and suddenly suffered a tyre failure. The vehicle veered off course and rammed into another car, triggering a severe impact that left little chance of survival for several occupants.

Emergency services were alerted immediately after the crash. Local police teams and administrative officials rushed to the scene and initiated rescue and relief operations. The damaged vehicles were cleared from the roadway to restore traffic movement, while survivors and injured passengers were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have not yet released details regarding the condition of the injured.

Police officials said that initial findings point to the tyre burst as the primary cause of the accident, though a detailed investigation is underway to determine whether speed, road conditions, or other factors contributed to the crash. Statements from witnesses and technical inspections of the vehicles involved are expected to form part of the official inquiry.
